Take Action

Forestdale's ecological value as a suburb is worth advocating for…

As habitat loss continues to plague native wildlife populations throughout SEQ it is imperative that urban environments like Forestdale play a part in providing adequate habitat for wildlife.

Did you know that Forestdale is naturally positioned within the regionally significant Karawatha-Greenbank-Flinders Peak corridor and has been noted as an extremely important 'stepping stone' suburb for wildlife movement.

A suburb like Forestdale would be the envy of many and to live within this precious place deserves our respect.

The trees, the birds and the critters say 'we live here too'. Forestdale is a leafy estate by nature and significant backyard trees are incredibly important to species survival and should be protected, where possible.

The current LoganPlan2015 has the intention to protect Native Trees and Native Habitat Trees in Forestdale, however the on-the-ground outcomes suggest much more needs to be done, to truly achieve and maintain its Logan's Green City Slogan. So it's time to demand that the unnecessary clearing of significant landscape trees stops now and without delay!
